Primary Care
Dr. Joshua Lange specializes in primary care optometry with focus on treatment and management of ocular disease, contact lens care, dry eye evaluations and management of LASIK and other eye surgeries.
Emergency Care
All staff are residency trained doctors who have done extensive study into the mechanism of disease that affect the eye and their diagnosis and treatment. The Service is open six days a week and accepts major medical insurance as well as Medicare and MediCal. We also provide an urgent care phone number that is accessible 24 hours a day.

I was very impressed by the service I received at Clearview Eyecare. The staff were all very friendly and competent. Dr. Carole did an excellent exam of my eyes with her all of modern computerized equipment. I was very impressed. The office also has an optician on staff, so arranging for my glasses, after the exam, was very easy. I also like the fact that the office has a Patient Portal online so that I was able to retrieve a complete copy of my exam and my patient history from their website. I also learned that Dr. Carole does Glaucoma screening, which means that you would not need to go to an ophthalmologist for this service. It is a one stop shop! I highly recommend Clearview Eyecare to anyone needing an Optometrist or just an extra pair of glasses.
Ophthalmology
Dr. Joshua Lange completed his undergraduate studies at Ferris State University. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Michigan College of Optometry in 2004, graduating with distinction. While in college, he led several leadership positions including President of his professional fraternity as well as participating in several missionary trips to Mexico, Guyana, South America and Alaska. Before joining Clearview, he worked with a large ophthalmology group where he focused primarily on the care of patients with cataracts, glaucoma, age related eye disease and diabetes. During this time he also served as a clinical speaker for optometric education for hundreds of optometrists.
Macular Degeneration
Macular Degeneration is a condition in which the central part of the back of the eye loses blood circulation. It is considered a natural aging process. There is a breakdown of retinal pigment epithelium cells in the macular region.
Laser Eye Surgery
Our office provides many of the surgical services such as Cataract surgery, Laser surgery, Refractive surgery and Strabismic surgery. We offer this in conjunction with the hospital and local eye surgeons. For our shared patients of Dr. Reza Rahmani of the Rahmani Eye Institute, Clearview Eyecare provides Lasik Consultations and Post-Operative appointments. Cataracts
Cataract is a clouding or opacity of the natural internal lens of the eye. This opacity may be a small spot or may cover the entire lens. When light enters the eye it is scattered, causing images to appear hazy and blurred. There are many different types of cataracts. The one shown here is a cortical cataract. Here the opacity forms first in the periphery of the lens and develops inward, like spokes of a wheel. Ultimately, the best treatment is to remove the cataract lens and replace it with an acrylic man made lens. This is referred to as cataract surgery.

Diabetic Retinopathy
Diabetic Retinopathy is a condition when a diabetic persons blood sugar gets too high. High blood sugar levels start a series of events which end in damaged blood vessel walls. As such, the blood vessels begin to leak fluid or bleed, causing the retina to swell and form deposits known as exudates. Vision can be lost if these spots are not watched and treated. Here, at our office, we carefully examine the back of your eyes to follow and manage this and other important eye diseases.
