Veterans' Memorial School provides learning opportunities for more than 250 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers a variety of special programs such as speech and language, bilingual education, English as a Second Language, gifted and talented and special education classes. Its student activities include parks and recreation sports, field trips, student assemblies and community service projects. Veterans' Memorial School has a guidance counseling department that communicates with parents, teachers and administrators regarding student issues and needs. The school offers academic classes in reading, music, computer instruction, math, science, social studies, communication skills, art, and health and physical education. Veterans' Memorial School is a part of Norwich Public Schools and is located in Norwich, Conn.
