Flooring
The interior finishes include vinyl base cove, unique vinyl flooring systems, wood base, epoxy floors, carpet, ceramic tile walls, brick walls, wall fabrics, fiberglass reinforced panels stainless steel wall panels and paint. The vinyl flooring was a challenge because the material specified can only be applied to floors with an extraordinarily low moisture level (1/3 off what is permitted for normal VCT). The project included a multitude of decor artifacts, glass panels, mirrors and brass.
Door Installation/Replacement

The entire interior was renovated to include a new customer lounge, employee lounge, ADA compliant toilets, offices, retailing spaces, parts department, service center, service staging area, receiving, warehousing and training areas. The focal feature of the building is the centrally located 48 foot tall customer lounge with a stepped interior drywall vaulted ceiling, large glass walls, standing seam roof and large exterior clock. The drywall interior work also included several round and shaped drywall components.

The project included adding stud walls within the post and beam construction or removing and replacing the exterior walls and over framing the majority of the roofs. It would have been easier to tear down the buildings and start again. The majority of the roofing was changed from screw down metal roof panels to a glue down rubber roof systems. The majority of the exterior walls were changed from screw applied metal siding to a new EIFS system with integrated architectural features, columns and signage.

The first floor features new men’s and women’s HC toilets, four offices, a study with a kitchenette and a State of the Art Experimental Electronic Seminar room. The main lobby has red oak hardwood floors with inlaid carpeting. Early on in the construction the main wood stairs were removed and replaced with a new wood stairs that meet current Code requirements. A new vestibule was introduced to the interior of the lobby to help temper the air in the reception area.
Skylight Repair/Replacement

New Construction
The company was formed to provide General Construction and Construction Management Services to Commercial, Industrial and Institutional clients within a fifty mile radius of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Since our founding, we have completed over 2,000 projects that varied in size from 75 Dollars to 9 Million Dollars.

2. The site work and demolition contracts were handled by Preit under separate contracts and required co-ordination with throughout the project.

Excavation
The challenge continued with the foundation excavation because the buildings were constructed on solid rock subgrade that in most case had to be removed with hammer excavation. The rock removal for the storm water and sewage systems was done by blasting the rock.
Irrigation Systems
The HVAC System includes a gas fired heating and electric air conditioning. The building has a full sprinkler system including the concealed space above the acoustical ceiling. Plumbing included piping for all the kitchen system and wait stations as well as a helium line run to the front wait station for balloons.

Porches
Exterior work included new roofs and flashings. All rotted wood fascias, soffits and trim were removed and repaired. North and south porches were shored up and all wood columns removed and replace with new fiberglass columns to match the original ones.
Residential Roof Repair
Fire retardant “Dens-Deck” roof board was added to the roof. The roof systems include a custom copper front entry and a white Steven’s mechanically attached rubber roofing system.
Residential Roof Replacement/Installation
This 24,712 SF renovation has all building components exposed. Concrete floor and counters have a natural appearance. Structural steel and hollow metal are sand blasted and clear coated. Pine roofing deck, doors, paneling and millwork are seen throughout the building. Custom rolled steel sinks with glass ends are located on each floor along with their exposed polished copper lines.

Carpentry
Miller, Miller & McLachlan's staff includes estimators, superintendents, craftsmen and laborers. Primarily, we perform concrete, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, as well as door, frame, hardware, window, toilet accessory and partition installation with our own craftsman. On smaller jobs or when subcontractors are not being responsive, our people are cross trained to be able to accomplish all divisions of construction excluding mechanical and electrical trades.
Insulation
The Pastor’s office includes sound batt insulation and full height walls as well as sound thresholds and trim on the doors to allow for private consultation with the members.
Masonry
6. On 9/11/02 the power and phone companies were notified that their lines ran across the rear corner of Retail A. The relocation of these lines had to be co-ordinated by the Developer and the Utilities. The phone lines were relocated by 9/12/02 but the power line relocation was not completed until 10/19/02. Masonry walls were erected as high as possible prior to the relocation and had to be completed after the lines were removed.
Electrical Work
The project also included adding a new concealed space fire protection system that was missing. The building had gone through a multitude of previous tenant fit-outs so almost all the previous HVAC and electrical work had to be removed and replaced to make the systems more efficient and to bring the bring the building up to code requirements.
