Budget Liquors

Budget Liquors provided the bar service for my son's wedding. Everything about the liquor service was horrible! The owner, Chris, is the only one that can help a customer order large amounts, and he was never available. Once my son finally was able to meet with him, he felt like he got good advice and everything would work out well. We were wrong! We ran out of mixers by 7:30, hard liquor by 10, beer by 10:30. There was consistently a huge line because one of the bartenders hardly worked. The bartenders poured the beer into several pitchers and used these instead of the kegs, so they were handing out warm beer. The only thing that we didn't run out of was the wine. This is because the bride went to Friar Tucks and they advised her how much to order since we couldn't get anyone at Budget to tell us. Friar Tucks was extremely helpful by the way.

As if this wasn't bad enough, I went in to talk to the owner, Chris, that week after the wedding. Not only was he NOT apologetic, he was quite rude to me! He actually blamed my son for not having enough liquor. When I tried to explain that he was the professional and my son had asked what was needed, he said he gave them a good price. (He charged $125 for a keg, very comparable to other places) I stated that I would have gladly paid more to get better service and that I thought it was terrible that he didn't stand behind his service. I think it is very poor business to blame the customer and not take responsibility. All I wanted was a sincere apology. Since I have shared this story with many people, I have heard many others that have similar stories about Budget Liquors. I share this so that I might help someone else not have a special day ruined by this business.
