Women's Business Enterprise Minnie Warren has built Mintech from the ground, with the support and guidance of Modineer Company. From its modest beginning in 2004 with 8 employees and one customer, Mintech has matured to an established manufacturing company of custom metal components, recognized as an MBE by the MMBDC of Michigan. Minnie had been working for a powder coat company who was providing coating services for Modineer parts. When the business reached a point of near bankruptcy, Minnie approached Michael and Gary Dreher ( principle owners of Modineer Company ) about opening a powder coat business with her. These initial discussions led to a partnership, though not in powder coating, where Minnie created a business and began doing assembly work for Modineer. Since then, Mintech has grown steadily and established a customer base from a variety of markets. Though her partnership to the Dreher family remains, Minnie's business is growing more independent and healthy with each passing year. In 2007 Minnie hired a quality supervisor and later that same year earned her ISO 9001 certification. This success has opened doors of opportunity and fostered additional growth. Minnie's hard work and guidance has positioned Mintech for a bright future ; serving customers with excellence, while creating opportunities for minorities to work and thrive in today's business world the heartbeat of Minnie's passion.
