Main Street Grille In Niantic

I have never seen a restaurant go down hill so fast. Food tastes prepackaged and frozen. The staff is not courteous. If you're over 40 they do not want you there. Looks like they want to make it into a yuppie spot. The previous owner served quality foods and took the time to know his customers. The atmosphere there is dour.

Foods ok, service is ok, location is excellent for us though. Scuzzy older kitchen guy smoking in front of his white car in front of my kids didn't do much to better my wife and mine experience either.

My husband I had reservations on Valentine's Day for 9 PM. We arrived at 9:05 PM, and were turned away. Staff stated that if we had been there right at 9 PM, they could have served us, and that the kitchen was closed. My husband spoke with Frank the owner and asked why a reservation was excepted for 9 PM, and the kitchen was closed! We previously tried The Main Street Grille on New Year's Eve. We waited for 1 hour for our food, and it was not good. One of the people in our party had a pork chop which was burned on the outside and raw on the inside. This was due to the fact that after waiting an hour, we asked why it was taking so long, and I suspect the pork chop was cooked too quickly. We won't go back. Service is not good.
