I would never recommend this company. I live in orchard lake village and am a senior citizen. That gave me a verbal commitment and then came back to do the job. I signed a contract with them at the agreed upon price. The workers said their was to much work for the price and decided they wanted more money. I asked that the contract I had signed be given back to me and they refused. They left me standing in the street. I am letting everyone I can to stay away from this business. I would give them zero stars.

The best side I've ever had best service. Very thick and green. So beautiful I've told everybody about it everybody good seeing it has not bought it I highly suggest I would never go anywhere else even if I moved out of here I would come back just for their sod. Erica

04/02/2015 Update: My beautiful green lawn is still the envy of my neighborhood. I do all my own lawn work so I know how easy it has been to take care of my new sod. I am still very pleased with P&R Sod.



03/01/2014 I just had new sod installed on my front lawn by P&R. They had the best price and were able to install it right away. The estimator and installers were all very nice and helpful, they even ran a new sprinkler line for better water coverage. Five weeks later my lawn still looks great and green. I was leary of using them due to some of these reviews, but I had a very positive experience and have recommended them to friends.

Horrible experience with these crooks. The sod was infested with cinch bugs and half dead. Instead of trying to make it right, they would just insult your intelligence claiming you are not watering enough. Another company confirmed the cinch bug infestation. They won't do anything about it. Lawn is pretty much dead now but working with another company to try and save it.

BEWARE!!!!BEWARE!!!! This company is TERRIBLE!!! They installed half dead sod to start with. They said they would leave instructions for watering, fertilizing and cutting,,Just watering, even after several calls. They covered two sprinkler heads damaging them. REALLY??? No flags that day? Sod had gaps and looked like crap. They even installed a piece upside down. NEVER AGAIN with this company.... They are crooks..Contacted BBB. They a

I live in Wesley Chapel, Florida and purchased my sod from P&R. I have never dealt with any Company that was more professional or cooperative in giving me a great lawn. They even showed me video or exactly how they went through the stages of creating what I would say is a fantastic yard.



I never write reviews however in reading the one I am responding to I can't help but believe it is coming from one of their competitors. I have visited some of them and found just the opposite. In fact they denegrated P&R so much that I had to see if they were as bad as said. I am truly glad I did.



Funny isn't it? When you try to destroy your competition by bad mouthing them it only winds up hurting you.



In any event THEY ARE GREAT TO DO BUSINESS WITH.

I have dealt with P&R Sod over many years and may I say, never have I dealt with a more professional Company ever. They absolutely do not use Mexicans or for that matter any persons other than local "down on their luck" locals.I have seen him take people off the street, give them a job and absolutely raise them up to a new standard of life. The CEO has a knack for building a person's character and self image like few can do.

The product that this company produces not only manifests itself in grass but has a knack for building a person's character as well. A Company that I am proud to be a customer.

As a side note the negative comments made here HAS GOT TO BE HIS COMPETITION.

Let our hindsight become your foresight. STAY AWAY FROM P&R SOD! Our front yard was the company's second installation of the day, and the pallets had grass that appeared to be very dried out in spots. Someone in our development had scheduled re-sodding for the same day, and all of our pallets probably left the lot at the same time. The installers didn't finish until after supper, and all of our questions and concerns were answered with LIES as we supervised their job. The dried grass spots on many pallets did NOT "green-up" as stated, the ruts between the sections did NOT close as the weeks passed, and the sections that were machete-hacked are mostly dead now. The two cable lines (ours AND the next door neighbors') were cut, but the crew told us that "This happens all the time". Of course, after 30 days, the homeowner is out of luck. P&R takes no further responsibility for the awful appearance of the lawn, (although it has been meticulously watered, uncut, and not chemically treated per P&R's guidelines). The P&R Co.will blame a pre-existing soil condition, or the lawn service, rather than accept responsibility for shoddy business practices and poor quality sod. Now, weeks later, our lawn is an embarrassment. The lawn service is trying to salvage it, but the front yard is a mess! P&R is very quick to send the crew out, but not really interested in hearing from the homeowner once the money is paid. Recently, the company was accredited with the BBB. How in the world did they pull THAT ONE off! I plan to file a written complaint soon. STAY CLEAR OF THIS LYING, SHIFTY COMPANY!

I recently had my yard replaced by P&R sod company and was delighted not only by the grass,but by the entire process.My lawn looks wonderful and I'm experiencing no problems whatsoever.Ive had problems in the past with others who have replaced my lawn.What a breath of fresh air this entire experience was!Thank you P&R sod.I've already recommended you to my neighbors.

chinch bug garbage sod and wont do nothing to help when it dies in a week stay far far away horrible company to deal with horibble. you buy from them u will be sorry check bbb many complaints on them

Fakes never have sod when its on sale will get you order then stand you up bad company stay away

They do not honor their guarantees.Their sod is rife with chinch bugs and other maladies.Once they get your money they are GONE!

This company has three unresolved complaints against it by the Better Business Bureau and I would imagine many other complaints wherein customers threw in the towel without lodging their complaint with the Better Business Bureau.They are NOTHING but TROUBLE to deal with. They promise all sorts of guarantees for their work UNTIL they get your money and then of course renege on their promises.They point proudly to a time when they were rated as being good but that was years ago when they were in fact a reliable company,their complaints by customers speak for their current reliability.

We had sod put down last summer and P & R Sod stated they guaranteed their work. After a few days and with several days of rain many areas of the sod died. We called and called and they refused to return calls. After their refusal to replace the dead sod we called the BBB and found P & R Sod had numerous complaints. The BBB did what they could only to be ignored by P & R Sod. BEWARE -- DANGER. The sod we received had dollar weed and they would not honor their guarantee. Especially the elderly -- they take advantage of you.

This is the company that gave away "25 pieces" of sod to the first "100" customers one Saturday morning! Not only a great advertising tool, but WE were thankful for the offer! We have also went back for more and will continue to support this company. Both the "sod" and the "company" are great!!!!
