Social Services Department

Very dirty very smelly and the staff are lazy. And they blame you for their mistakes. They work at a much slower pace than molasses in Janurary :) And then tell you that there will be no interruption with your benefits but they never do their job on time and there are always interruptions. I have a family to feed and work hard to provide for them! Some of us actually depend on you people doing your jobs!

This place always stinks every time you go in it. Even in the new building! No one seems to know their job or what their doing. The workers are RUDE and DISORGANIZED all the way! No one seems to be the least bit professional in any way shape or form! I think they should be investigated!

Die before you need to go to the welfare department in new haven. OMG these people treat you like a diseased dog on the street. No compassion for people who are new to these types of services. when you give them info they give you a receipt that you dropped it off, then when they fail to do their job they tell you you never dropped it here even with your receipt that you did is in hand. Its amazing to me in this day and age with the unemployment so high these people would not want to do their job. Just remember you could be on the other side of that desk tomorrow.
