New Haven Vital Statistics

I attempted to obtain a death certificate for a family member we know died and is buried in New haven. It took well over 3 months to get a response and the response was "we cannot find this person". When I attempted to call they were extremely rude and unhelpful. They also took my $30 and never issued the certificate. I was told it was a research fee although this is not indicated on their website.
