Not sure how we would have handled this very tough situation without the professional staff from A&T Healthcare.
Every aspect of A&T was helpful from the office staff to the Home health aide that was sent.

It's such a caring company. This company started back in
1984 to help people. I think they are doing just that. Not only they take care of their employees they continuously monitor the health of their patients. They have great benefits and they are always looking for ways to help. I highly recommend this company for employees and for families in need to keep their love ones around.

year in order to bring my mother home to live with me under the NHTD Waiver Program funded thru Medicaid. My mother needed total care. I was approved for 173 hours per week. We had a detailed plan which including the hours the aids were to work. I worked very hard preparing for her to return home and had everything she needed to care for her. I looked forward to having her home. It was what I had dreamed of for both of us. But it quickly became a nightmare. The first week my mother was home, no one showed up on a Sunday. After I complained about one aide because she spent most of the day watching TV, talking on her cell phone, left my mother sitting in urine all day and fed her in an almost horizontal position in her wheel chair, she had the nerve to quit and they could not find anyone steady to replace her. Another aide quit because she was pregnant and they could not find anyone steady to replace her either. One aid showed up sick and they had no one to fill in for her so she took care of my mother while she was sick, bless her heart. The same aide gave one months notice that she was going on vacation for two (2) days and they had no one to fill in for her. Twice they called me to tell me they could not find anyone to come to my house. It was only until I filed two complains with Medicaid did they send someone to my house. This was all in period of about 6 weeks. They continued to send new aids to fill in for the aids that quit but could not find anyone steady. My house became like a revolving door which created an unsettled environment. After a month and a half of this fiasco the owner of A&T called me to tell me they did not have enough staffing and gave me 10 days to find another agency. The last thing anyone needs when they are caring for a loved one at home is to worry about staffing. If you have a loved one who needs around the clock care I do not recommend this agency. They will promise you reliability and give you nothing but the big run around. Even if you have it in writing, it means nothing. The aids that want to work are great but this company has no back up for the the slackers which is about half of them and they will leave you stressed out, holding the bag and in a dangerous, unsafe situation.

horrible place to hire aids !!!! horrible company to work for. I should have not wasted my time and listened to others about this company. I was in a horrible car accident and they lied to my loss of wages rep. about my hours. and now out of job unable to even get my loss of wages. they will lie about where cases are located and not adhere to your available schedule. they will send you far and wide and promise to pay for gas which is only 10$ for over 2hrs of driving. you are thrown into a home without any paperwork and just have to find out what needs to be done solo. they will give your number out to clients and when you are ill and must call out they will let you go without warning. worst experience of my life!!!!!!!!!!!

An uneven experience. Some of the aides are truly wonderful and some you would think they picked up off the side of the road.
