Emerald Ghost Charters

I’ve fished with Captain Mike at Emerald Ghost Charters the last two years and have had excellent experiences both times. The cool thing is I’ve fished with Mike in crummy weather and great weather…also, by myself and with two kids. I got to see how he operates in both conditions and with multiple people on the boat. We’ve had successful trips on both accounts, plus we caught and released a shark…a memory that my son and I will share forever!



The first trip in Navarre was windy and cold with choppy water…Mike used his expertise to find the right places that hold fish shielded from the elements. His persistence lead to my first Red Fish! We caught 3 different species and even had a shark bite the tip of my catfish’s tail off…awesome to see a shark hunt my catch! Mike persisted through the tough conditions and delivered on all accounts.



The second trip, in great weather, we went out with my son, brother-in-law and nephew. This experience couldn’t have been better! Mike is great with kids…we had tons of laughs along with many catches. Like the first trip Mike knew exactly where to go to put us on the fish. We fished all through Destin and then just outside Destin Harbor. With 4 people in the boat fishing and 2 of them under 12…Mike not only made sure everyone was fishing with the right rods, but also kept all our lures and bait updated depending on the fish we were marking on the electronics. While catching a few different species Mike baited a rod for a shark that he suspected was in the area…not 5 minutes later myself and my son were pulling in the catch of a life time…just amazing.



Our third trip is already booked for this June!

My wife, daughter,son and me took a trip out with captain mike and we had a blast! He was very good with my kids and the toilet sure came in handy for my little girl! It was hard to find a private charter that had a bathroom on board and that was really important to my wife and daughter. Caught lots a fish and we'll do it again for sure!

We had such an awsome time with Captian Mike! We weren't familiar with saltwater fishing at all being from St. Louis but he showed us everything we needed to know. We caught alot of fish and kept a few for dinner. Who knew redfish were so good! We'll definately be calling him again next year!
