I've heard for a long time that Kansas City has the best BBQ in the country. My son and I love BBQ. With the great reviews of this place, we went here hoping to partake in something wonderful. We both got the rib plate. The meat had a nice smoked flavor. However, the barbecue sauce was wanting. The sauce was thin and sweet. The sauce will make or break ribs. In this case, it was sadly disappointing.

Went to a party last week, Zarda had a BBQ fountain, kind of like the chocolate fountain. They also had a ranch fountain with veggies and stuff.



Nice twist to regular BBQ.



Also, saw Zarda on the news with their charity donations to the Chief's and Diabetes, and also donating for local schools. These are tough times, it's nice to see a company that is still giving to the community and people in need.

Real KC feel -- love the photos all over the walls, like pictures of feeding the Chiefs (Go Chiefs). The people working there are really nice. AND - hate to say it about a BBQ place, but the salad bar is awesome.

One of the best BBQs in Kansas City. The meat is tender with very little fat on it unlike other BBQ places. They have the best bbq beans.
