Rocky Mount Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five and offers courses in art, music, physical education, reading and writing. The school also offers special education classes for children with disabilities. It additionally provides speech and language services and operates yearbook, chess, drama, art, soccer and computer clubs. Rocky Mount Elementary School maintains a media center that houses more than 11,000 books, magazines, videos and software and conducts accelerated reading tests. The school also operates a leadership council that provides advice, recommendations and assistance to principals and local boards of education. Located in Marietta, Ga., Rocky Mount Elementary School features a gymnasium, cafeteria, computer laboratory, playground, outdoor classroom and media center.
