Roadside Rescue

On June 13, 2013 my 17 year old daughter and I decided to go back to Calif..We jammed packed my Isuzu Trooper,stopped by a friends' they had a comp room at the Sands that night that they could not use.PICTURE THIS.My 1994 ISUZU Trooper fully packed, my daughter, myself and our 12 year old cat. ebay stuff to sell, 2 mountain bikes, guns, knives, ammunition, electronics, collectibles, antiques, china, jewelry, all of our makeup, clothes, tattoo equipment and supplies.,we are bringing things to our room.our third trip down to the parking lot, my Trooper is gone.empty parking space.OH NO.EVERYTHING IS GONE! SOMEONE JUST STOLE MY LIFE.!.my personal 357 magnum, my dad's '22 revolver.I made a police report immediately.my favorite car just POOF!.We felt so lost.!.no car, no $, no clothes, no makeup!.On June 18th at 7:30 pm, I received an email from the Police Dept, they found my car in Mogel on June 16th and had it towed all the way to Stead by Roadside Rescue.I did not have a phone when I made the initial report but sent 2 contact numbers online that evening.Come to find out, RPD said they didn't have anyone working their internet for 5 days.So since they said they could not get a hold of me, they had it towed! On June 19th, I called Roadside Rescue and talked with a man named Curtis, he told me there were 2 bicycles worth at least $500, a gun and ammunition in an old Army ammo box, and a bunch of clothes.during our conversation I had mentioned that the bicycles were not mine, but didn't finish with "they were my daughters friends' bikes".I met with Curtis that afternoon to retrieve our belongings, when I got there to my astonishment, the Trooper was not hurt and almost everything was still there.!"NO WAY",but, "Where are the bikes".? I asked.Curtis told me that since I had told him they weren't mine, he took them out for the police!missing is my 3 drawer jewelry bin, 3 of the 12 bins of ebay items, a 4 drawer plastic roll away bin with computer stuff .My guns were all there, right exactly where I had left them.! nothing had been touch in the front part of my car, even my $500 stereo system with a removable face-plate was intact.I left the towing yard and immediately went to the Police Station and told a female officer what had just happened.she said "HE DID WHAT.?".she got on the phone right away and reprimanded him."You are NOT EVER to take from a vehicle.!",she said.Talked with Curtis the next day, we discussed our mutual interest in firearms, and that I had a 1932 Stevens' double barrel side by side 12 gauge shotgun, a Colt 357 magnum and a Taurus 9mm.I mentioned where I was staying, Curtis shows up with the bikes! he says he wants to talk about trading my guns for my car.I brought him inside and laid out what I had with me on the floor to see what he might be interested in.the '22 Hi Standard Double Nine Revolver, a vintage Viking leather holster, over 300 misc. bullets which included boxes of 22's,38 Specials,357s and 9mms, a pellet gun that looks exactly like a Glock 9mm (that's the gun he told me he saw in my car) and that Army ammo box.the Trooper impound bill at this time is $525.00.he said he was interested in doing a trade and we would talk on Monday regarding his decision.I said "That's a hundred dollars away!".he said not to worry, that he would not charge me for the weekend.called him Monday, left a message,didn't hear from him.Called on Tuesday and he said he wanted ALL of my guns in trade for my Trooper ! including all what he had seen plus the shotgun and the 9mm.!I said "No Way, I feel I'm Being Robbed Again.!"after thinking things through, talking to people and recognizing this personality type, I feel he could have taken more out of my vehicle than just the bicycles.!.after all, what kind of thieves would have my car for 3 days and only take a few items that were just in the back?

Never do business with this company. When I called to get an estimate they demanded I tell them my exact address to dispach a driver immediately. When I told them that I was trying to get an estimate they hung up on me.

These guys showed up in less than 20 Min. Took the truck to the shop and away they went. Talk about get r done!
