Pipe Dream Plumbing

I had a backup sump pump installed in May 2008 by Pipe Dream Plumbing. Since installation the "Pump is defective or not connected" light had come on and the alarm has gone off several times after it self tested. I would say this has happened approximately 5-6 times in the 3.5 years I have had it. They were out on two separate occasions and were able to get the unit working again after messing around with it and resetting. They never did anything more and I trusted their opinion that there was nothing that needed to be done. Recently the issue happened again however the pump will now not work when pressing the test button and will continue to give the "Pump is defective or not connected" error. Of course now the unit is out of the 3 year warranty period.

In my opinion this issue should have been taken care of under warranty, but Pipe Dream plumbing never wanted to do anything about it. It is obvious that something was going wrong with this unit since the first time the alarm went of approximately a year after I had it. Pipe Dream plumbing did not want to admit their mistake and now wants to be of no help so I had to remove and send in the unit myself. When I talked to Russ, he said he would get with the distributor or manufacturer again and get back with me. He never did. Basically he was unwilling to make good on the error in judgment unless the manufacturer paid him to do it. It wasn't the manufacturers decision not to do anything the first two times, it was Pipe Dream Plumbing's decision! Take responsibility!!!

Glentronics, the manufacturer was great and covered the repair under warranty.

Shame on you Pipe Dream plumbing. Own up to your errors and don't leave your customers to fend for themselves. I paid a premium to have the unit installed professionally and could have saved money by doing it myself in the first place. In return I in essence received no support from you.
