Oak's Auto/Truck Service

I had a leaking hose to my transmission. I normally go to Cheswick Auto, but they could not see me right away. So, I thought to myself, I'll just stop at Oaks. Big mistake! They told me they had to take my front bumper off to get to this hose. I paid $12.61 for parts, and $239.12 for labor. After they were finished putting everything back together, they told me they noticed a few bolts were missing from my cooling fan. I was told it would be a 3 to 4 hour job to replace these bolts, because they would have to take my bumper off to get to my cooling fan. The next day I went to Cheswick Auto, and it only took them around ten (10) minutes to replace my cooling fan bolts. Remember, Oaks said it would take 3 to 4 hours to replace these bolts. The people at Cheswick Auto just shook their head. They explained to me how to get to my cooling fan and transmission line without taking my front bumper off. So, I went back to Oaks and explained this to their supervisor and it got me nowhere. He went back to his office, turned to me, and wished me a Merry Christmas. I am left to wonder if Oaks ripped me off, or they are just that bad in what they do.

I have learned my lesson. ALWAYS have my repairs done at Cheswick Auto, even if I have to wait a day or two.
