Overall
I would not use this "refinish...

I would not use this "refinisher". At first it seemed like he knew what he was doing. He had me watch him remove the stain from my gunstock that I brought to his business for repair. Everything appeared to go smoothly. He then helped me select a stain for the wood by giving the stock a "first coat" of stain. Little did I know, that was the only coat he was going to put on. So he told me that I could pick up the stock on Monday night, (I dropped it off on a Saturday). I went to his place of business on Monday, he met me outside to show me the gunstock and the lighting was so-so, but it looked better than it did before. Little did I realize this guy gave me a sub-par work. After getting home I checked the wood thoroughly. It appears that never applied additional stain to the wood, and slapped on 1 uneven coat of Polyurethane. It even looks like he dropped one of the pieces as there was a chip out of the wood that was just Polyurethaned. Also, there was fingerprints in the finish AND then I come to find that the Poly isn't even dried!!!! I left the pieces on a cloth while I was inspecting the wood. The cloth actually indented the finish to leave the pattern of the fabric. I could continue with my complaint, but you get my point. He charged me a good amount of money for (from what this stock looks like) 20 minutes worth of work. Either this guy doesn't know what he is doing or he is intentionally ripping people off. Go elsewhere for wood repair and refinishing.

I wanted to edit this and state that Mark was working to correct my problem. We spoke since I posted this original review. I dropped of the gunstock several days ago upon his request to re-do the refinishing. I have yet to see the work, but he has assured me the gunstock looks great and should be ready for pick-up in the next business day or so. He has shown every effort to correct the problems I have pointed out to him, and his customer services skills are proving to be excellent. Upon seeing the product, I will give a complete review as to the completion of this transaction and the quality of the workmanship.
