Little Blue Preschool

We love the Little Blue Preschool--and I'm an early childhood education expert, so I'm picky. We've had two children attend, and they have both thrived. Many of the teachers have been there for years, which is hard to find and so important. They are loving, experienced, knowledgeable, and really care about the children. They use the HighScope Curriculum and are intentional about their interactions and problem solving/conflict resolution with the children. The activities and art projects are child centered. The discipline and guidance they provide is right on. We also love that the children and teachers come from diverse backgrounds (although that varies from year to year, depending on the children enrolled.) On top of all that, they are very supportive of breastfeeding and are cloth-diaper friendly. Five stars

Avoid this day care at all costs.



My wife and I were initially impressed with Little Blue's website and several phone conversations that we had with the school's director, Patricia.



But ultimately we could not have been more wrong. Patricia lied to our face about availability for our son...even after we drove from out of state to visit the school. Several days later she called us and informed us that there was no spot. In none of the multiple previous conversations did she indicate that there was a danger of losing our spot. In fact we even pressed her on that issue...still, no our spot was secure, was her statement every time.



These people are shady and not to be trusted. Knowing what I know now, I'm glad we're not going here. Seriously, be warned, liars are not worth the risk when it comes to your kids.
