Hired Dilley Floors many years ago for a wood floor and it came out great. New owner, but their reputation is still good so I called them about doing my kitchen floor this summer. It's old random-width wide oak planks, and with the cupped boards, I wondered if it was doable. I had a carpenter replace several of the boards that were beyond repair with brand new (almost white) milled oak. Most of the rest of the floor planks were cupped, many nails protruding slightly.
The technicians (John, with a helper one day) spent a lot of time; first with the big floor sander, then a hand scraper and smaller sanders ~ mostly on their hands and knees. Golden Oak stain, and 3 coats of poly.
The floor came out beautiful; he matched the new wood and paid lots of attention to detail, especially the edges and appliances. We are thrilled with the floor.
I also had him sand the old screened porch floor, fir tongue and groove, with lots of old paint on it. That came out great, too ~ though I'll paint it, the wood looks terrific as is.
