Neighbors of mine have a dog that was recently attacked by a pit bull, which required surgery and hospitalization for almost a week; same time two of their neighbors were attacked and injured at the same time, they required medical treatment at a hospital's trauma center including rabies shots, the dog had no proof of immunization. The animal control officer came out and refused to take the dog into custody giving the owners time to get shots for the dog and prove it, and giving them time to fix the fence. These unfit pet owners have had humane officers come and provide food for this dog and another, as they could not feed the dogs themselves. The dog was again roaming the neighborhood yesterday and chased a handicapped person and their dog. Still, no action. If these people cannot even provide food for their dog, how are they going to "fix" the problem? And if the dog is vicious enough to attack, it can't be helped. Does it have to kill someone? Do your JOB and pick it up.

EVERYONE on Maple Ave in St Albans WV off Green valley Dr have contacted these people about a dog that has attacked 2 people and a dog which resulted in hospital and surgery. The owners of the dog will not keep it contained. And almost attacked a disabled person yesterday if neighbors had not been there to save her. Was told by Animal control that the dog would be removed, but has not. There are several small children that live on that street and if something is not done, a child could be the next victim.

the humane officer will come to your house and take your animal for no reason. But my husband ws catching the bus to work and got attacked by a dog and you cannot get anyone on the phone. When that same dog bites a child or old person, I am going to be the first one there to tell them that if they actually did their job then none of this would have happened in the first place. Where my husband got bit, they have several vicious animals and nobody will do a thing about it.

It's sad that Kanawha Charlest...

It's sad that Kanawha Charleston Humane Association will only disclose what they want you to see and hear, not the deplorable conditions and the reckless acts that are performed frequently, not to mention exchanging money for defective and diseased property. Director Donna Clark and Karla Ford had performed unethical behavior towards myself and others because of their poor performance, I did not side with them or agree with them In regards to the business they run so I became an outcast and a whistle blower as a result of supporting their cause by paying for the adoption of a 6 year male austi-shepard mix that had parvo at the time of adoption. Donna Clark order the Humane Officers and the local Authorities to take my existing pets from my home on the 25th day of August 2010. Why you might ask? I am still wondering myself, the place Its self Is a good place and their cause Is just, but It's going down hill because of the staff that Is running It. I would appreciate your comments and share your Issues that you might have with this business, maybe you have purchased a diseased animal that cost you hundreds If not thousands of dollars for the treatment of diseases, let me know.
