Founded in 1971, The Eliot Montessori School is an independent school that serves more than 100 students in kindergarten through grade eight. The school facilities include a gymnasium, auditorium, playground, science lab, library and classrooms. It provides a kindergarten program for children between the ages of four and six. The Eliot Montessori School s language arts curriculum includes grammar, vocabulary, etymology, spelling, handwriting, sentence structure and reading comprehension. The school s core curriculum includes mathematics, science, social studies, English and science. It also offers classes in art, music, physical education, computers, Spanish and Latin. The Eliot Montessori School additionally provides various before- and after-school programs.
