Mr. Martin,

This past summer me and my 8 year old son joined you on your boat for an afternoon of fishing. This being our first time on your boat (not our last), I did not know what to expect. For days and countless hours I reminded Charlie we were going "fishing" - not "catching". It would be a ride on the boat with some friends. It was going to be hot and maybe - just maybe we might hook something.

Well you blew it. He's ruined forever. We enjoyed sitting under the shaded cover on your comfortable new boat and caught tremendous fish I never knew existed in fresh water.

Needless to say you have set a high bar and we will be back for more.

Thank you for the great memories, kindness towards my son, and a great catching experience that will not soon be forgotten.

Ed is a supurb fishing guide who has obvious local knowledge of Percy Priest Lake. He is very patient and accommodating. I have fished with him many times and have always caught fish!

If you are reading this review, it's because you are considering fishing with Ed Martin. Read no more - CALL HIM NOW! Ed is the best hybrid and striper guide Tennessee has to offer. I have been a repeat customer since 2011 and EVERY trip I have brought home a cooler of fish. He has been fishing on Percy Priest his whole life and knows the lake. If the fish aren't biting, we move to the next spot - as simple as that. He let's you participate as much as you want. If you are an avid fisherman and want to bait your own hook and drop your own lines, he lets you. If you want to relax or bring along a friend who's scared of fish, he'll do all of the work for you. He's honest and respectful, and majority of his clients are repeat customers for a reason. Kids 16 and under fish free. Also, if you click on the Flickr icon on his website, you can always see his most recent catches. Don't be fooled by sites from other guides. Most of those pictures are outdated or not even from Percy Priest. What you see on Ed's page is what you get. If the bite has not been good lately, he will let you know and reschedule. Ed gets his pure enjoyment from watching his customers reel in big fish. So call him up, and don't forget to keep your line tight!

Too many fish to keep...

Ed Martin is the best fisherman I've met in my multiple years as an angler in middle Tennessee. He knows the waters inside and out and doesn't hesitate to try new spots to ensure OPTIMUM CATCHING time. If we were sitting for a while with no bites, Ed would think of a better spot to try and move us there. He isn't proud and doesn't mind asking even his customers what they would like. He is also flexible with the trips and overall very knowledgeable about catching in the lake. WE caught more than we could even keep. I will take any chance I get to book another trip with Ed. He is better than the rest out there, especially other guides I've encountered in the middle Tennessee area.

My husband and I had a great friend visiting and we are all avid fisherman, we had a great time all caught nice fish. He had great advice and it was a wonderful afternoon

Ed knows where to fish, how to fish, helps you fish and very friendly to younger fisherman. We went with him last year and have already purchased a trip this year from a charity event in which Ed was so kind to contribute his services.

I wemt fishing with Ed in the middle of A cold front and I was worried that it would hurt the fishing but it still was A good day fishing.

I have been fishing with about A dozen guides in many diffrent places and Ed certainly is one of my favorites.

There are 3 things I look for when fishing with A guide.

#1-Obviously is to catch fish and that we did even though the weather conditions were not favorable.

#2-I want the guide working hard and doing everything he can to make it A good day fishing and there is no doubt in my mind he did everything he could to catch as many fish as possible.

#3-I want the guide to have A good personality and Ed has A great personality even though I only fished with him that 1 day it felt like we have been friends for A long time.

Next time I go to Nashville I will go fishing with Ed and if you want A good time fishing and catch some nice stripers I highly recomend you do the same.

By the way this is the 1st time I have ever done A review of any type .
