America's Best Value Inn

My wife and I booked a two bed smoking room with a refrigerator. At first glance the room was clean but as I walked into the bath room it was disgusting. The tub had what looked like a piece of card board for you to stand on so you wouldn't get your feet dirty while showering. The toilet should have had a sign that read use at own risk! We were just staying for one night so I thought what the heck we can survive. Then I opened the refrigerator to find a half eaten Hungry Man Meal that appeared to be a year old which is possible as the freezer portion of the fridge looked like it hasn't been defrosted since it was put in the room. Being an Army veteran I again said its just one night and made a make shift cooler with a few garbage bags and ice to cool our drinks. It wasn't till I laid on the bed and turned on the TV and was instantly eaten by what I would say were bed bugs! I told the guy at the desk about what I had found. Instead of him offering to have a maid clean the room or even investigate he offered me another room which was non smoking. I told him I didn't purchase a non smoking room but would consider it if he gave me a discount or credit my credit card and I would go somewhere else. Not only did he not credit my account but he would not make any attempt to make our room to where we could at least sleep. Needless to say we left and went to the Red Roof Inn which was only $8.00 more and is very clean. If you need affordable place to stay there is Vaccancy there but bring some Raid, shower shoes, and some toilet seat covers. This is honestly the worst hotel experience I ever had.

seems to be a nice place to stay if only they would locate closer to destinations i stay at
