Hands-down the worst optician in Rockland County.



My first time with Nanuet Vision: The female employee strongly advised me against getting the anti-reflective coating. Having worn glasses with the anti-reflective coating for a few years, I immediately noticed a big difference when I put on glasses without it. Since then, I have spoken with other optometrists who said that everyone who knows anything about glasses knows anti-reflection is a must.



My second encounter with Nanuet Vision: I wanted to order another pair of glasses because the reflection thing was bothersome. I found a great pair in the mall and then wanted to make the purchase online. I needed my prescription, so I called and asked to have my glasses prescription faxed over.



I stressed that I needed my glasses prescription, not contacts -- but six hours later that day I received my contacts prescription (which is a different RX). I called back, a different guy answered, and I kindly asked to have my glasses prescription faxed on over.



When I went to enter the numbers online, I noticed there were probably some decimal places missing, so I called back to just make sure I was reading everything correctly. The same woman mentioned above answered the phone sounding very disgruntled. I told her I needed help reading my glasses prescription.



We were looking at two different things - she was still looking at my darn contacts prescription even after four times of trying to telling her that I had had the correct glasses RX faxed over. She kept yelling that she saw a decimal point on the contacts prescription. It was embarrassingly amazing how loud and heated she was getting - it took so long to talk over her and finally correct her. I actually had to leave my office to get a word in.



She asked me, "what are you trying to do here anyway." in the most rude and condescending way. I said, "I wanted to purchase a new pair of glasses, but honestly I didn't have a great of experience with you guys last time." She answers, now yelling, "Forget your experiences, read the prescription then."



I got the prescription I needed but will never go back. Words fall short in describing how disgusting this woman's behavior was... I feel truly sorry for the people forced to endure this poor excuse for an adult.
