Medical Weight Loss
Adults of any age who notice changes to their mid-face or at the chin or jaw line may be considered good candidates for treatment with Juvéderm Voluma. Typical early signs of aging may include a visible decrease in volume, a sagging of the cheeks or the loss of noticeable contour around the chin. While these are more commonly problems that people face as they age, younger men and women may experience them as well due to weight loss, heredity or a number of other factors.

Ultrasound
During Ultherapy® treatment, which is performed in a physician’s office, the skin is cleansed, and ultrasound gel is applied to the target area. The Ultherapy®handpiece is placed on the skin, delivering low-level focused heat as it moves over the target area. Mild discomfort may be experienced as the heat is delivered beneath the skin. Discomfort levels vary from patient to patient, and on the area being treated.

Cyst Removal
Cyst removal is typically done through surgical excision. A small incision is made in the area of the cyst and then the cyst and surrounding tissue will be removed to ensure complete excision. A local anesthetic is used for this procedure. Most cysts do not return when thoroughly removed. Some patients are left with a small scar after a cyst is removed, which can be further treated with a reconstructive treatment, although most scars will fade over time.
Ingrown Toenails
Mohs Surgery
Swelling, bruising, minimal bleeding are common after surgery. Numbness may occur at the surgical site for up to 6 months to a year. Scarring can not be prevented at the surgery site but is minimized with the Mohs surgery technique. Minimal pain the first 1-2 days after surgery.

Botox
Prescription Dysport® injectable is a U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved treatment for temporarily lessening or eliminating moderate-to-severe frown lines between the eyebrows. Like BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport injectable is placed directly into the muscle underneath a furrow, weakening the muscle to the point where it cannot contract.
Liposuction
Because it is not invasive, many people choose to undergo laser skin tightening rather than facelifts, neck lifts, liposuction or “tummy tucks,” all of which are surgical procedures that require recovery time. After a laser skin tightening session, patients can resume their regular activities immediately.
Face Lift
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peels are medium-depth peels that can effectively treat fine surface wrinkles, superficial blemishes and pigment problems, and are often performed in conjunction with an alphahydroxy acid (AHA) peel or other treatments such as a facelift or laser skin resurfacing. Treatment can be fully customized for each patient’s skin type and may even be covered by insurance if performed for medical rather than cosmetic reasons.
Neck Lift
Using ultrasound energy, Ultherapy® treatment lifts and tightens skin on the face and neck. Ultherapy® treatment works on the deep layers of tissue usually targeted during a facelift or neck lift, but leaves surface skin alone. By heating tissue with sound waves, collagen production increases, resulting in younger-looking skin. According to its manufacturer, Ulthera, Inc., Ultherapy® treatment “is the only noninvasive procedure FDA-cleared to lift skin on the neck, chin and brow.”
Laser Resurfacing
Known as the Skin Care Makeup®, the Jane Iredale line is so safe and beneficial to use that it is recommended by plastic surgeons and Dermatologists throughout the world. Moles
Depending on the depth and location of the mole, as well as the patient’s skin type and overall health, mole removal may involve laser or pulsed light therapy, microdermabrasion. We would remove a mole by surgical excising it only. Dr. Warthan will decide which treatment is best for you.
Dermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a much less invasive procedure than dermabrasion, which is used to treat more serious skin problems. Dermabrasion, in which several layers of skin are removed, is considered a surgical treatment.

Ingrown Toenails
There are several different diseases that affect the nails, often as a result of a fungal or bacterial infection. Ingrown toenails are the most common nail ailment, involving the corners of the nails digging into the surrounding soft tissue, causing irritation and swelling. Fungal infection commonly affects the toenails (and sometimes the fingernails as well), as a result of exposure to a warm, moist environment, and cause thick, brittle and distorted nails.

Allergies
U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved for the treatment of nasolabial folds, Sculptra Aesthetic is considered safe and effective for most patients. Because it works gradually, patients achieve a more youthful, natural-looking appearance with subtle, yet noticeable, results. Although not FDA-approved to treat them, according to manufacturer Valeant Aesthetics, Sculptra Aesthetic can be used on marionette lines (at the corners of the mouth) and chin wrinkles. Because it contains no animal, human or bacterial components, allergy testing is not necessary prior to treatment. There is little-to-no downtime after receiving Sculptra injections; most patients return to their normal activities immediately.
