A Local Guy Affordable Roofing & Home Maintenance

A good job on the roof but when they cleared off the snow they didn't remove snow from front & back sidewalk. When snow melted I found a broken shingle. I have been trying to call - 4 times from 7/11 to 7/21 ( no return calls yet )

Very professional. Roof was done in one day and I can say I was impressed. None of my flowers were harmed and cleanup was great. They even had to replace some wood and they did a excellent job. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Yes it was cold and yes they came out right away but the valley is so wavy I get dizzy. You should look at my roof before hiring. No itemized bill and no photos of roof which I asked for both.

Read all the reviews and decided to call. Talked to the owner who was friendly and informative. Asked about the negative reviews and he laughed stating that the only bad reviews he had were from people he hadn't done work for. He came out the next day with a helper that measured while he taught me about roofs. He left his bid and stated he never gives an estimate without leaving one, not like the review states. I got 3 other bids and h-ad no qualms about choosing A Local Guy. They showed up on schedule and did my whole roof in a day and a half. The crew was excellent. Courteous, friendly and hard working. Clean up was perfect. I would advise everyone to choose them.

Roofers did a good job. Owner is very professional and didn't try to sell me on things I didn't need. I would recommend them to anyone looking for roofing in the Muskegon area.

We had some attic work done to our cape cod. Some of the work quoted was not needed so he came in under the estimate. He was very honest since there was no way to see if this work was needed.

They never showed for appointment, We took a day off work and waited all day. We want to use a local person, so we called back, Didn't show again. but called, Showed late the next day. It's been 5 days now and we still have no est. I guess we will have to use another local roofer. We are so disapointed. Also want to give the smaller guy our business.

I watched them do my sister's house. I had never seen such a hard working crew. She loved the work. If they can make her happy, they're good. I called them over, got a fair price and now I have a great new roof too. Super clean up. We're on Lake Michigan so they used extra nails.

This guy would not even give me a quote for my roof because it was an insurance claim. He stated it was not worth his time. Just wanted you to know I did not go with the lowest bid to replace my WHOLE roof, but the highest due to superior material quality and a long warrenty on the labor. You lost out on this one for sure. Maybe you shouldn't be SO RUDE to people on the phone!

I got 4 quotes including those guys from TV. What a joke. They sent out 2 salesmen. One was more high pressure than the other. They spent 2 minutes on my roof. Next, they insisted on coming in. Once inside they kept talking about special deals and discounts and time limits all the while pushing a high priced contract at me. After more than an hour I finally asked them to leave.My favorite bid was A Local Guy. He walked every inch of my roof. By the time he came down the ladder he knew everything that had to be done. He was informative and educational with NO PRESSURE at all. Best part, his price was very reasonable with a great guarantee. Not the lowest of my quotes but when you pay peanuts, you get monkeys! I couldn't be more pleased with their work! The cleanup was even better! My business is over 50 years old because we give quality service. A Local Guy should be around at least that long. We had them put on our new roof and when we had the first rain we still had water. We called their office and a repair man was out within 2 hours. It turned out it wasn't the roof but bad chimney grout. He called his boss, told him what was the problem was and was told to fix it for us at no charge. I offered the man a tip and he refused. You don't get service like that these days.

I saw their signs all over town and now I know why. They were GREAT! Couldn't believe how hard and how quickly the crew worked. Excellent from the beginning with an impeccable clean up. My plants were all perfect and no debris anywhere. Very intelligent and informative during estimate. You can tell that they care about quality and customer service. Great warranty.
