Crowns
If you’ve ever needed a dental crown, you may be familiar with the old process. It included messy molds, temporary crowns, a long wait for the lab to create a new crown and bridge, and another appointment for placement. At Kimberly Dryden Pitts DDS, PC, we believe in making the process convenient, comfortable, and efficient for our patients. We use CEREC® and CAD/CAM technology to measure, mill, create, and place your permanent crown in a single visit.
Bridges
To prevent the drifting, Dr. Pitts may recommend a dental bridge. A bridge is customized for you in a lab. It is comprised of two or more artificial teeth, and Dr. Pitts will cement the bridge to the teeth adjacent to the gap. The bridge will provide form and function and prevent the adjacent teeth from moving.

CEREC® (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) is the gold standard for producing same-day crowns. Using CAD/CAM digital technology rather than traditional, sticky molds, we take the measurements necessary to create your custom restoration. Our 3D imaging takes 18 pictures per second for the most accurate measurements available. Cutting-edge technology allows us to mill your permanent porcelain crown immediately so Dr. Pitts can place it during your appointment. This technology is also used for crowns used in dental implant restorations.

Dr. Kimberly Pitts is an alumnus of Dawson Academy and a member of the Spear Faculty Club. She attended Middle Tennessee State University, graduating with a B.S. before enrolling in The University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry. In 1997, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and began her private practice with her father. That same year, she married Joseph Kennon Pitts, the Business Administrator in the office. In 2002, Dr. Kimberly Pitts purchased the practice and continued to work with her father for a combined 17 years until his retirement in 2014. Her father placed close attention to having the latest technology to provide the best level of care to patients. Our practice continues to follow his lead. She has received her Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry, which less than 2% of dentists receive! Dr. Pitts is the only dentist in the state of Tennessee who has trained at the OBI Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry.
