Our clinic voluntarily has their hospital comprehensively evaluated by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). This evaluation includes a quality assessment review of the hospital's facility, medical equipment, practice methods, and pet health care management. Only 14% of all small animal veterinary practices in the United States have achieved accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association. Highland Animal Clinic has been a proud member of AAHA since 1994.         Dr. Dan Sargent is hands-down the BEST vet I have ever worked with. Not only is he a highly skilled vet who treats animals with such compassion, love and care, but he is also a genuinely awesome person. He cares about our animals, and understands and supports the struggles we, as pet guardians, face. When my sweet cat was dying from lymphoma, Dr. Sargent was very available to me for months. His compassion and responsiveness made a difficult time less difficult. Having had many veterinarians in the past that were just "okay", I can honestly say that Dr. Sargent is the best, and that I trust him wholeheartedly. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone I know, and I honestly trust him with my beloved pets lives.

        The treatments are thorough but communication there is HORRIBLE!! Even if you are seen, drs don't always write in the records so no one has a clue as to what needs to be done, and no one can do anything as the vet & tech were both off the next day and a half. I Two days later I still haven't a MUCH needed prescription. I had called first thin the second day & it took them ALL day to decide not to prescribe. Dr. Johnson said he would prescribe her med & told the tech to check the cheapest provider. So I was LIED to and wasted two days time. I had called so many times in the two days & never got the same person twice. NONE of them got together to compare notes. They had NO IDEA what was going on. Not making notes in the record didn't help either! Glad they treated the severe yeast infection but I won't be back!

        The people at Highland are like family. They have taken care of my pets for over 10 years and I always receive the best service. Dr Johnson is kind and very knowledgeable and my dog who normally doesn't like men, loves Dr Johnson. I was able to visit my dog when he was hospitalized and even though I was there a lot the staff treated me so well. My pets have always received excellent and thorough care and the staff are very well trained and experienced. They are open every day and I seldom have to wait, they always fit me in if I have an emergency. The groomers do a great job and the prices are extremely fair. Try Highland, you will be well cared for and your pets will thank you for it.
