Prior to Charleston Radiologists, Dr. Mullenbach completed his fellowship in neuroradiology at Duke University. He fulfilled his residency in diagnostic radiology at the UAB School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL, and his internship in internal medicine at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Lung Cancer
It can often replace other diagnostic techniques such as exploratory surgery and other invasive procedures. This procedure is commonly used to detect or rule out tumors, blood clots, enlarged ventricles, enlarged lymph nodes, pancreatic disease, back problems, lung cancer and many other disorders.

Prior to Charleston Radiologists, Dr. Rosenthal completed his magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) fellowship at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) including neurological, musculoskeletal and breast imaging. He was a lead developer in UCSD’s first teleradiology practice where he led the formation of an integrated PACS and transcription service, reading room and site design, website development, and marketing. Dr. Rosenthal completed his internship at Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, DE.
Radiology
Dr. Samson completed her musculoskeletal imaging and intervention fellowship and her radiology residency including abdominal imaging, neuroradiology, and pediatric imaging at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Barnes Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis. She also served as Chief Resident and Resident Director of Women in Radiology. Dr. Samson interned at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.

Mammography
We place a strong emphasis on diagnosing cancer early and provides convenient hours for mammography screening. Procedures are done using state-of-the-art equipment featuring four mammography units, two ultrasound units, a breast biopsy unit, and Mammotome breast biopsy device for larger tissue sampling.
Computed Tomography
A CT scan is a medical imaging exam that produces cross-sectional images. It is a special type of x-ray that produces three-dimensional images of the body and can distinguish bone, tissue, fat, gas and fluid.
Chemotherapy
The procedure’s major strengths include its minimally invasive approach, which results in no significant scarring after the placement of a band-aid over the skin nick. With this technique, patients do not experience the usual side effects seen with systemic chemotherapy. It is typically a painless procedure with some associated nausea.
Interventional Radiology
Dr. Shaheen completed his neuroradiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. He fulfilled his diagnostic radiology residency at Aultman/Mercy/NEOMED Radiology in Canton, Ohio, and preliminary medicine residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital – OhioHealth in Columbus. Dr. Shaheen was presented with the Society of Interventional Radiology Resident In-Training Scholarship and the Radiological Society of North America Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award.

General Surgery
Dr. Mahon completed his fellowship in breast imaging at the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospital in Galveston, TX. He was a resident physician in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Rochester General Hospital in New York from 2015 – 2018, and at the Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia from 2014 – 2015. Dr. Mahon served as a general surgery intern at the University of Virginia Health Systems Hospital.
