Mount Dora Centra Care

I went there for a gout attack was diagnosed and treated effectively. Gout was cleared up and follow up arranged. Very satisfied and less expensive than the ER.

12 1/2 hours before our appointment we scheduled to have my wifes shoulder looked at, their x-ray was down and waited till our scheduled time to tell us it was broke. Horrible!!!!

They knew it was broke and could not be fixed HOURS before we arrived.

I was visiting from out of state when an infection I thought had cleared up & gone recurred. I knew I needed to get back on antibiotics. I went in to the Centra urgent care in Mt Dora on a Fri 8:30 AM, was told the wait was at least 2 hrs and I should make an appointment if I didn't want to wait around. I made the appt for 2:10 pm that afternoon, and returned at that time, but still didn't get to see the doc until after 4 pm.

But then the doc and nurse took my situation very seriously, listened to me intently, and responded with care, prescribed a round of antibiotic and gave detailed follow-up instructions. The nurse called me 2 days later to ask how I was feeling.

I'm very impressed with them - I only wish they had enough staff to handle all the patients.

They did say Fri, Sat & Sun are their busiest days, so if you go on a Mon-Thur, you may get in quicker.

I went to this Centra Care today because I have been having pain in my foot. The wait was not to bad but when I went into the exam room the doctor came in and looked at my foot asked a few questions and gave me a diagnoses all in less than 5 minutes. The doctor said she would do an x-ray, but corrected herself and said to me there is a weight limit on the machine. WOW! REALLY??!! I am not that big but I guess I was too big for their machine. I was sent home with instructions to put ice on it and take some Motrin. Very poor bedside manner. I was really upset when I left and I am still in pain. So in other words this Centra Care did nothing for me accept take my money. I will NEVER go there or take any of my family member there ever again!! I do plan on reporting them to the proper agencies. No one should ever be treated like this!
