        These rugs, also called Shyrdaks, were each handmade by local artists in the Lake Issyk Kol region of Kyrgyzstan. Each rug is felted, hand dyed and intricately hand sewn. Rugs are made during the harsh winter months and generate a large part of the yearly income for these artists. Most of the rugs are named after different regions of Kyrgyzstan. We hope you enjoy your shyrdak. May it bring life and color to your home!
