General Info

The National College for DIU Defense Inc. (NCDD) is a nonprofit organization specializing in the improvement of the criminal defense bar and spreading public awareness about the DUI Defense Law. Based in Montgomery, Ala., the organization conducts a variety of seminars and programs for the public and its members. Some of the state approved seminars conducted include 8th Annual Advanced DUI Defense Seminar, Defense of Drinking Drivers Institute and Betting on Justice VIII, to name a few. American Bar Association has accredited NCDD to certify lawyers in the DUI Defense Law specialty practice area.

Sex Crimes
Georgeâ€™s favorite aspect about being a trial lawyer is the fight. As he puts it, â€œa trial is a â€˜warâ€™ and I like to be in the middle of that war.â€ One of his most memorable victories was when his client, a Charlotte Hornet All Star basketball player charged with a DWI involving a serious automobile accident, flew on a private jet after the first day of trial to compete in a NBA game of which he scored a career high, to return the second day of trial to be acquitted. Another favorite Not Guilty for George was a three week jury trial for a University of North Carolina Charlotte football player charged with rape that made national headlines, heavily covered by the press. He tried that case with his daughter as co counsel.
Misdemeanors
(5) The conviction of the Member, including any verdict of guilty, or plea of guilty or no contest, of a felony, or a misdemeanor committed in the course of the practice of law, or in a manner in which a client of the Member was the victim, or a necessary element of which, as determined by the statutory or common law definition of the misdemeanor, involves improper conduct of a Member, including dishonesty or other moral turpitude, or an attempt or a conspiracy or solicitation of another to commit a felony or a misdemeanor of that type.
Homicide
Our immediate projects include our mainstay courses that continue to thrive: the Winter Session, which will next be in San Diego, focusing on homicide cases; in the Spring, MSE in New Orleans, with the "mock" trial that is always a revelation; in Autumn, Las Vegas, the nationâ€™s largest conference in our field, where we may learn about a wide variety of the latest developments; and of course, our famous Summer Session, which has historically taken place at the Harvard Law School. We will have a Summer Session in 2023, and we hope to be back at our summer home. It will be our deepest dive yet into the fine art of DUI defense.

Intellectual Property
Kim graduated from Mizzou with dual degrees in Political Science and Speech Communication. She studied law at the George Washington University School of Law, serving as the Notes Editor for the Intellectual Property Law Journal while also working at the Pentagon.
