Carolyn's Sewing

My wife and I have used her for all our sewing needs from alterations, hems and repairs for years . We are very satisfied with the work and the price.

I have been a fairly accomplished seamstress for decades (made lots of clothes for my husband, children, and me) . . . made curtains, pillows, simple slipcovers, upholstered furniture, etc. But when I needed something done that was "above my pay grade", I went to Carolyn's Sewing and Alterations . . . she (or her staff) did a GREAT job at a reasonable price.

Her workshop walls are LITERALLY covered in pictures of prom dresses that she's made (or altered), home decorating projects . . . whatever you need, she can do. She'd not have all this if she was overpriced or did shoddy work.

I'd use her again in a heartbeat . . . without question !

Wayyyyy overpriced. Extremely rude and snappy. Didn't have the same colored denim to match the jeans I was trying to get patched. Didn't have the same kind of button I needed to replace on a common pair of jeans, nor would she order it. $20 to put a zipper back on track(it's not like she had to resew or replace it). Only accepts cash and expects you to pre-pay. When I told her that I was just going to do the repairs myself and asked if I could have my clothes back she pitched a fit about having to have her pins back and was extremely rude. Made a few smarta** comments about how she hopes my repairs come out decent. I will never go back here. I've been to much better repair shops at way more reasonable prices.

I just had 2 custom pillows made using 2 down-stuffed pillow forms and my own fabric. This business did a fantastic job! The pillows look great -- the stitching is very straight and intact -- no stray threads anywhere. I highly recommend this business for any sewing need you may have.
