He is a fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Reconstructive Surgery
He completed his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 2006. He attended a surgery internship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center before returning to the University of Mississippi Medical Center for his residency in head and neck surgery. After completing his five-year surgical training, Dr. Barber was selected for a prestigious fellowship in both facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and hair restoration surgery, the only such program in the country.

Rhinoplasty
He completed his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. During residency, Dr. May had extensive training with some of the world’s greatest surgeons, and he had the opportunity to treat many patients from all over the world. He then completed an accredited fellowship through the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery under internationally renowned rhinoplasty expert, Dr. Dean Toriumi in Chicago, IL. During his fellowship training, Dr. May performed complex rhinoplasty and nasal reconstruction surgery with Dr. Toriumi in São Paulo, Brazil. He also taught at an international rhinoplasty course in Miami, Florida.

Dr. Barber is one of the few board certified surgeons in the country who is fellowship trained in both facial plastic surgery and hair restoration surgery. He has expertise in the areas of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, aesthetic laser skin medicine, and current techniques for hair restoration.
