Doggone Grooming

DO NOT GO HERE! UNSAFE AND UNSANITARY PRACTICES. The 'groomer' doesn't appear to have any real training or skill in working with dogs. A nearby shop employee looked very concerned when I told her I had just dropped my dog off there. She said she had seen many dogs come out of there with not only terrible shaved cuts, but with nicks and cuts from the scissors. I warned the groomer that my elderly dog had serious health problems and she completely disregarded what I had said when I saw her yanking on my dogs bad back legs and swinging scissors around carelessly. Fortunately, I stopped her and took my dog out of there before anything really bad happened.

Also, the place is filthy. When I dropped of my dog AND when I picked her up, the same fur and feces was everywhere. Whatever one dog has is going to spread to another because they don't appear to sweep or clean up for hours at a time. This place should be shut down. I'm seriously concerned for the animals that go there.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. AWFUL!

Excellent . Excellent groomers. The owner loves,loves ,loves dogs. Clean and professional .I have been going there since Diane opened . Would not take my dogs any where else.

It seems quite likely from the earlier reviews that this is under new management. The shop is always clean whenever I've visited, the groomers have always been so loving and careful with my dogs, and they always look WONDERFUL when they have been groomed. If any of the earlier posters are reading, give them another chance. I'd say things have changed drastically for the better.

I have visited Canine Creations three times, once with a miniature Schnoodle who only needed a bath and brushing, and twice with a Bichon Frise. I haven't been impressed. Schnoodle was returned with mats; Bichon nails were trimmed and mats combed out, but still had tear and face stains which were cleaned easily once home with hot water. Also found flea near Bichon eye when cleaning eyes following visit. Bichon monthly treated with Front Line; in fact, was treated 48 hours prior to visit to groomer.

Nancy is a all time great groomer, shes not only good with animals but she goes above and beyond to make sure her customers are happy . She even took care of my baby's when we were called out of town
