All Valley Equine, a part of Middletown Animal Hospital, provides specialized services for horses and their owners. We are the only Veterinary Hospital in our county who has 3 experienced equine veterinarians. Our fully-equipped ambulatory truck provides mobile service throughout Lake County, Napa County, and Sonoma County. The truck is equiped with portable X-Ray, Ultrasound, Shock Wave Unit, Laser Therapy, Mechanized Dental Instruments, Surgery Packs, a complete Pharmacy, and all the tools and instruments needed for field procedures -- even a dart gun! Our experienced veterinarians, Dr. Jeff Smith, Dr. Joanna Holtz, and Dr. Dana Shackelton are here 6 days a week for your convenience and they take after hours emergency call for current clients until 10:00 pm. We also have a new indoor/outdoor pet boarding center, grooming services, rehabilitation center and quality pet foods and pet supplies. - We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. We offer Monthly Vaccination Clinics for your convenience. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. We offer an open door policy where pet owners can participate in their pets care. Our friendly staff provide the best possible medical, surgical, and dental care for their patients. We have innovative technologies that supplement medicine and surgery including laser therapy, rehabilitation (treadmill, cavaletties, balance balls), cryotherapy, shockwave therapy, platelet-rich plasma therapy, and behavior services. Our new facility also has separate cat and dog entrances, quality pet foods, and climate controlled separate boarding for cats and dogs.

- We are proud to offer Underwater Treadmill as part of our Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Services. An underwater treadmill has many uses in an exercise therapy program. There are numerous benefits to exercise in an underwater treadmill vs. dry land. Foremost among these is the reduced impact on painful limbs or joints and the increased resistance underwater which allows the patient more time to react to changes in speed or footing and builds confidence. Movement is key to recovery and weight loss and gives patients a tremendous confidence boost. This kind of exercise is also extremely effective at building core body strength and improving cardiovascular fitness. Very knowledgeable. I have been coming here for 20 plus years and have always felt like they provided the best care for my animals. They have been by my side from puppy hood to my dog being a senior and having to put him down. We are lucky to have this level of care and knowledge in Lake County.

Amazing....I can't express our gratitude for everything they have done for our dog Daisy. About 18 months ago after visit to UC Davis we almost put Daisy to sleep because she was a dachshund with major back issues. We saw that Middletown Animal Hospital was offering Laser therapy. It was a drive but we did it, and what a difference it made. Daisy is doing great and we couldn't be happier that she is still with us. Staff is amazing. Thank you everyone
I have been taking my puppy Wrigley here for 6 months now and have had nothing but the best care for her. The staff is kind and courteous and show nothing but love towards her. Just like a family physician, when choosing a veterinarian one needs to feel and know that their getting the best possible care for their pet. As a pet owner I hope to never have to use a Veterinarian for anything more than the annual checkup visits but I feel a little more at ease knowing Middletown Animal hospital has such good Dr's and staff. Wrigley and I thank you...
Impressed with service.I had a bad experience at another place in town so my neighbor suggested Middletown Vet, what a difference!! They scheduled an appointment so my dog and I didn't have to wait in the heat, and it was quick and easy. I was happy to find their prices weren't more expensive and they were helpful it letting me know what my dog needed in this area. I was happy to find they offer emergency care so I don't have to head back to Santa Rosa if something happens. My dog is not a cat lover so it was nice they had a dog side and a cat side was so he didn't get to wound up.
