Hertz

An insurance company arranged for a rental from Hertz in Mesquite while my car was being repaired. The Hertz rep. completed the paperwork and handed it to me for signature. The paperwork included the daily rental price and the "fuel purchase option" whereby Hertz will re-fill the tank upon return of the vehicle. I expressly asked the Hertz rep. if the insurance company was paying for all charges and I would not have to pay anything. She said yes.



I returned the vehicle a few days later with the tank about half full. Well, Hertz then charged me their way above market charge for the fuel purchase option, saying that was my responsibility and not the insurance company's.



In my opinion, this was clearly fraud with a purpose of increasing revenue. Do not trust what you are told by the people at this location.



Also, their business location is shabby and their available inventory pitiful.

This place is AWFUL! The only bad experience I have ever had renting a car. They only had one car available and when I got it the car was super dirty. There were stains everywhere and dried stains on door and dash. They did not walk me to the car or tell me anything about the car or how to operate it. They do NOT tell you about the toll fees and that they use a contracted company that robs you. They charge $4.95 every time you use a tollway and then the toll fees. They do not warn you, send you a receipt, but automatically draw money out of your account. They will not help you get ahold of platepass.com and when I called today to see if they could the girl said have a nice day and hung up on me!!! I have experienced bad customer service but nothing like this. I should have known better from the moment I stepped into their hole in the way, dirty, smelly, empty office. I regret ever using them and will promptly return to being an enterprise only customer.

The most horrible company I have ever had to deal with. All the employees are rude and unprofessional. The entire company is unorganized. They drafted money from my account after telling me nothing would be. There was no walk through. I had to wait an hour to be picked up after we called three times and they said they were down the street. I would rather pay out of pocket else where than deal with this horrible company again.
