Welcome to Kiddie Soccer Kiddie Soccer, founded in 1997, was the first soccer program in New Jersey for preschool age children. In fact, to this day, we are the only soccer organization in New Jersey that focuses exclusively on preschool age children. What does that mean to a Kiddie Soccer participant? It means that Kiddie Soccer ensures that our coaches have the right personality, demeanor and overall understanding of how to teach soccer to children between the ages of 3 and 6. Kiddie Soccer is currently held in 20 towns and at over 150 preschools throughout New Jersey. Each and every year, thousands of kids participate in our programs. In addition, Kiddie Soccer also conducts programs in New York and Massachusetts The first and foremost goal of Kiddie Soccer is for the participating children to have fun. Our secondary goal is for the children to be introduced to the world's most popular team sport, soccer. Kiddie Soccer always has been, and always will be, a kids' organization first.a soccer organization second. During our seasonal 8-week sessions, your child will participate in a group with approximately a 12: 1 child to coach ratio. These groups are typically co-ed and broken into age groups by year. Our staff of soccer coaches have developed a series of fun, thematic games designed to teach the children the very basics of soccer. Games such as Sleeping Giant, Red Light Green Light, Sharks & Minnows, and Soccer Potato are used to teach the children soccer in a fun-filled, safe and constructive environment. An eight-week session consists of eight 1-hour classes held on a successive day and time of the week ( please see our schedule page ). Each 1-hour class has two or three water breaks for the children ( water and snacks should be provided by the parent ). Typically, the first 50 minutes of the class are made up of some of the aforementioned games. For the last 10 minutes, the children are split into two groups in order to play a small-sided game of soccer. Every participant receives a Kiddie Soccer t-shirt at the first class. At the last class, every child receives a special medal for having participated in the program. Kiddie Soccer also offers an optional uniform and starter kit ( bag, ball, water bottle and shin guards ). Please visit our merchandise page for pictures of both the uniform and starter kit. The 8-week Kiddie Soccer session is $130. For $160 you can also order the 8-week session and either a uniform or starter kit. Lastly, for $190 you can order the 8-week session, a uniform, and a starter kit. ( Please Note: only the $130 fee is required for enrollment ).
