Dursus Construction

Matthieu did awesome work on our 1910 house. He laid beautiful bamboo floors throughout the house, tiled two bathrooms, including tricky round stone tile for the master shower, installed crown molding, and painted. There isn't anything he can't do! I would definitely recommend him for future projects.

We needed a redesign of two offices at our business. We got three quotes. Matt beat the other quotes and gave us exactly what we wanted. He did a great job and completed it on time. We would definitely recommend Dursus Construction!

After searching for several months for someone to renovate my parents' old master bathroom and not being impressed with anyone I spoke to or their ideas, I came across a good review of Matthieu Dursus, so I decided to give him a call. Both my parents and I are extremely particular about how construction jobs are done, both in terms of quality and detail. Long story short, Matthieu did an amazing job on the bathroom. He gutted the old bathroom and rebuilt it into a modern, very nice looking bathroom that will last for a very long time. As a result of his good work at my parents' house, I hired him to build a stone patio in my backyard. I told him my budget and he gave me a no nonsense, realistic estimate of what he could do. He came up with amazing ideas I would have never thought of and he also told me why some of my ideas might be good for a low budget, but also disastrous for long term quality. He work was again amazing and the level of detail he gave the project was impressive. He would stay late some nights just to get one particular detail correct. On top of the quality work, he not only stayed within my budget, but came in under it. I was impressed with this because it's the complete opposite of my experiences with other contractors, who somehow mysteriously find ways to blow the budget and tell you there's nothing that can be done.



After buying an old house that needed a lot work last year, I've dealt with a ton of various contractors and construction people. Matthieu is the only one I would hire again without a second thought. In fact, I plan to bring him back soon to build a small walkway and I'm confident I'll be as impressed it as I have been with everything else he's done.

There are tile layers and there are skilled craftsmen. Matthieu Dursus is a skilled craftsman. Being both an engineer and a builder, I am known to be very particular with subcontractors. I hired Matthieu to install an intricate tile design in our master shower after our old shower was consumed with mold. I silently scrutinized his work in the beginning only to discover that there was nothing to scrutinize. His work was beyond my expectations. The extent to which he waterproofed the shower was beyond the norm. In addition to the quality of his work, I found Matt to be very dependable, courteous, and cost-conscious. If you need tile work done, I recommend Matt highly especially if you are looking for that royal look on a beer budget.

We were searching for a company to lay tile in our home. We found Dursus Construction through the yellow pages. Matthieu has completed work in our home during two different time periods and we found the quality of his work to live up to the good reviews he has received in the past.



In our home, Matthieu tiled the entire house, including bathrooms and bath surrounds. Wow!!! Amazing work. We have wood look tile through the living areas and bedrooms. He created different patterns in different areas to give a wonderful flow throughout the home. He is his own quality control, and was always double checking the work to make sure it met his standards of workmanship. That allowed us to relax in the process and enjoy the beauty that was being created. We would highly recommend Dursus Construction for home improvement projects.

I found Matthieu on this site and gave him a call. He called back right away and found out he was friends with my son, who gave a wonderful referral. Matt pieced together marble tile for my backsplash that needed a lot of repair before he could even start. Did a perfect job and everyone who comes over wants to know who did it. He also installed some fencing for me that looks great. I feel he is very trustworthy and stayed well within my budget. He even met me at Lowes to pick out the supplies, so there was no question about the costs. I look forward to him doing more jobs.

Matthieu remodeled our kitchen and bathrooms last spring. My sister used his services before and strongly recommend him.



We had a budget of $9,500 and he stayed well under $9,000. He was very honest and professional. He did excellent work and has a great eye for detail. He is reliable, clean, and really easy going. I will certainly refer him to our friends.

Matt is an excellent, thorough woodworker and very competent when designing projects for inside and outside the home.
