Long & Foster Resort Rentals

We rented the Bear Valley Lodge for Friday 11/28-Sunday 11/30. We were granted an early check-in the week of the trip. Upon arrival I was informed the "inspector" never received the early check in request and did not go to the property to turn on the heat and such.

Once we arrived at the house, we were greeted with freezing cold temperatures. The temperature in the house was 40 degrees. We turned the heat on immediately and after about 20 minutes realized it was not getting any warmer in the house. We tried the gas fire place, which also did not work, the pilot light was not on. Then we tried the woodburner downstairs, however the woodshed was locked and we had not kindle or starter logs.

I promptly called Long and Foster, they do not have a property manager and had to hire out someone to fix our heat. We were told it could be up to an hour. Someone did show up around 2 to open the wood shed, which we were able to start a fire downstairs, however there was no blower on the fireplace. We proceeded to wait and wait and wait for the guy to come fix the heat, he showed up at 4:50. We sat in that freezing cold house for almost 5 hours!!!! I would never rent from Long and Foster again, their customer service department was terrible.
