My husband and I have had dealings with the Hoffman family, the owner’s of Tri County Animal Rescue, including Tom, Nadine, Andrea, and Mrs. Hoffman. We spent the most time with Tom and Mrs. Hoffman, with Nadine coming a close second. Their knowledge about the variety of dog breeds they had in facility, including age, background, dental, breeding, wellness, and illness / possible deciding factor information convinced us they not only know what they are doing; they genuinely care about the lifetime placement of all of the animals surrendered to their rescue center. We have a one year old Chug puppy that we cannot seem to do much with. When we talked with Tom and Mrs. Hoffman about surrendering him and why, we were told “straight up” that his lack of behavior is all our fault. We have not been training him to respect us. We need to think about keeping our Chug and work with him. They think my idea about getting a second dog that is older, may be a really good one. They are willing to work with us on this. The two dogs have met and at first our Chug was all “bark, bark, bark”. Tom and my husband were each holding a leash, while it became evident, our Chug was not going to hurt the older dog. We’re very happy with the canine / human love the Hoffman’s have in their souls. You just don’t meet people like these every day!

No way in hell should this place be allowed to call itself a "rescue". It's nothing but a different kind of puppy mill. I think most will agree once they read the attached story about a service man's dog:

This is So HEARTBREAKING on So many levels.

A Georgia military family decided to give up their one and a half year old dog Spot, after learning that the Army had assigned them to move to Korea in 2016 for a year. Ashley and Blake Lechner dropped Spot off at the Fort Benning Animal Control facility on Saturday. The dog was so distraught, it had to be carried inside. I'm crying right now!! The family got home and quickly realized they made a terrible MISTAKE and couldn't go through with it. The deployment also wound up being cancelled. They tried to get in touch with the Tri County Animal Rescue Center, which handles strays and surrenders for the base, but couldn't because it was the weekend.

It gets WORSE! On Monday, the Lechner's were told the 12 hour grace period for families to change their minds had expired! The family pleading with them to get their dog back, but the Shelter won't budge. It says people change their minds 3 months down the road, and want their dog back, and it's just not good for the animal.

We're talking hours, in this case. Really??

The Lechner's have now hired an attorney to get Spot home. He says Blake Lechner is serving his country and deserves his dog back. Tri County Rescue has Spot up for adoption, but says he won't be placed in a new home for 2 or 3 weeks.

In the meantime, the dog is in a Shelter, extremely depressed, sad and scared.
