Bob's Auto Service

I had my car towed to Bob's Auto service in need of a new clutch/sleigh cylinder. Bob told me he could complete the 7 hour job by the next day. The next day turned into the following day which turned into some time the next week. Bob attributed the delays to the fact that the wrong parts were delivered. Because I needed my car as soon as possible, I called the local dealership and got the parts to Bob's the next business day. During this process, I also discovered that Bob was charging me a 50% mark-up on the parts versus the dealer's costs. Bob became irate when I told him that I would be able to deliver the parts. He also made several comments insinuating that I was cheap and caused an extreme inconvenience to his business by delivering parts in less time than his sources. (?)



Bob's extremely rude behavior coupled with poor service made this experience the worst I have had with a mechanic. The mechanic who actually fixed the car apparently did a good job and his attitude towards me was pleasant. However, I would not recommend Bob's Auto Service because Bob failed several times to deliver on his word and his markup on parts was unconscionable.
