I am an African American and was totally accepted and waited on throughout my process. My mother and I went there Saturday to get my first pair of cowgirl boots. And I absolutely love them!

I'm not sure about the veracity of the negative reviews. The previous poster's comment about African Americans not being accepted here is suspect because there was an AA gentlemen who worked there. Everyone was as nice as they could be.

I went there to buy a pair of boots and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The selection is outstanding and I came away with a great pair of boots.

I have to say that the owner named Ray does not believe that customers come first. My son and daughter in law picked up their layaway this evening at the Marietta location. Because an associate that created the layaway in the beginning did not know how to calculate properly, when they went to pick it up, they called in advance to get the balance they were given a different balance then when they picked them up. They had a receipt with the total that they were given over the phone and they were required to pay a different amount. The owner, Ray was very rude and disrespectful I would recommend to everyone, not to purchace anything from Horsetown or High Plains. They rip their customers off and have the worst customer service ever. Btw, they hire incompetent employees that apparently do not know how to add or subtract. Now off to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) to file a complaint. Have a blessed evening and remember God loves you. Oh and also we just got a phone call saying that this "ray" guy is not even the owner!!! Wow they got screwed over and lied to!!!

My family love this place. We have been shopping at this store for 4 years now. Wide selection of cowboy boots. Me and my daughter are crazy about cowboy boots. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Worth the drive if you live far.

This place is absolutely pathedic. The older woman that works there. She's rude and lazy and doesn't want to help customers. And some idiot exactly pays this person, what a waste. Plus the most important thing is the store is not handicap accessible. In which I am going to report this. Tryed to get my son in with his wheelchair and this is frustrating. All business should make adjustments to people in wheelchairs. So don't waste your time. Shop some where else.

If you are African-American DO NOT patronize this store. Your business is not appreciated and it is certainly is NOT wanted. We traveled a great distance to purchase my son his first pair of real cowboy boots. However, when we walked in, it was like stepping into the 50s. Aside from the fact that the Confederate flag hangs hugely low at the front door, you would've thought we were ghosts by the looks on the staff's faces when we walked in. The only person that extended a hand to help us, was the Hisapnic-American girl at the counter. The whole time we were there, all we received were odd stares and unfriendliness. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. You deserve better service.

Great, friendly service

Even for this city slicker who's a little naive about western wear, I walked out with more than I went for. Service and the stock of western wear surprised me for what looked like a small space. (it goes UP in there.) They were helpful on several counts when I had questions. I'm on the far side of Atlanta, but would make the trip back.
