Designer Dog

My dog was groomed by Holly on April 11th. When I went to pick him up, they were acting strange. They made me pay before they would let me see him. After paying, they handed me my dog whose eyes were closed, he was like a rag doll, and said give him a cracker, he will be fine. They said they think he might have had a seizure when they flipped on the dryer and walked off. They would not answer my questions. He never recovered from that day, walking in circles, staring at the walls until he finally died. He had never had a seizure before and they never called one time to see how he was doing.

Hollie always take the best care of our little fur baby, we love her for that! The shop is clean and everyone is so friendly. We've been taking our girl there for years. And yay it's close to our home in West Cobb. Thanks Designer Dog :)

Absolutely Love Designer Dog! I think the grooming staff are the best in the business! The owner Holly is literally like a dog whisperer. The kind attention to detail and literal hand scissoring is amazing! I see the reviews before yet I do know the "manager" from the past was released when any of these items were scene. They are a true gem in our community and I am thankful they take care of all three of our four legged family members! They are awesome!!!

When there are places on almost every corner where you can take your pet, you really have to go the extra mile in order to gain new clients and keep current ones happy. Not this place!!! When I went in to enquire about their services with one of my dogs in tow, there were at all times three to four employees up front, yet it still took almost eight minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me and when I asked my question the girl I spoke to rolled her eyes at me, looked at another coworker and told me they were done for the day. At the same time another customer had walked in and they took her dog!!! She didn't even try to get me to come back the next day or anything. Fine by me. I wouldn't have after the way I was treated by the staff. So I went about 200 yards and scheduled a bath somewhere else. Don't waste your time!!!

I used to absolutely love this place. I've referred many friends to Designer Dog. Holli's always been my regular groomer and she does a fabulous job when we can get in to see her. For the past several months, it's been nearly impossible to get an appointment with her - even booking four weeks out. There are a couple of other groomers in the salon, and i did try one - but the cut wasn't as good. The new $10 fee for the privilege of having Holli groom the dog "because she's so busy and the other groomers aren't" left a bad taste in my mouth and that of my neighbor who also takes her dog to Designer Dog. People pay more for senior hair stylists at hair salons all the time. It's not the fee itself, but the manner in which is was presented that we found offensive. My dog needs to be groomed and I have an upcoming appointment with one of the other groomers. If it's less than satisfactory, I'll join my neighbor in finding another groomer.

I have been taking my dog to Designer Dog for several years and have become increasingly disappointed with every visit. $50 for a small dog to receive a summer cut is highway robbery. It used to be that you drop your dog off, they groom the dog and call you when the dog is done. This last time that my dog was groomed they scheduled 3 dogs at once and it took them 5.5 hours to finish mine. I don't like my dog left in a cage for most of the day. Also, I asked for a specific groomer when I made the appointment, but was told that groomer was off that day when we got there.



I have found 2 other groomers in the area that charge $35 for the same groom and have raving reviews on-line.



Also, that last time that I brought our other dog to get her nails clipped, they charged $8, the new groomer charges $5. Additionally, the woman that took the dog back, tightened the loop collar so tight just below the skull that I was concerned she may injure the dog.



Bye-bye Designer Dog.

Bad service and lack of experience. Had my two maltpoo's done here and they are overpriced. Two different groomers worked on each dog and both of them were uneven and had gaps in them. Petco and Petsmart quality with a boutique price. When I complained all I got was attitude.

Love Designer Dog! This place rocks! Star, my dog loves coming here. She comes out prancing and dancing around. The groomers really know what they are doing here. The salon is just like a peaceful spa. The colors, candles, music, bows, and doggie sprays, it is an amazing experience! The life of a Designer Dog.

We've been taking our shih tzu to designer dogs for the past three years and haven't had any problems. They always do a great job for us and we feel their prices are competitive. And they readily make grooming adjustments when requested to do so.

My dogs, Kona and Lucy have been going to Designer Dog for grooming since they opened their doors for business. We are VERY happy with them. The staff is friendly and kind. Thanks Designer Dog...we love you!!

When I picked my dog up from Designer Dog I nearly cried when I saw my Lhasa Apso. I asked for the usual shaved body with long tail and face. She had all of her ear hair cut off and her tail was a staight across mess. I was in shock, I paid and came home. The more I looked at her the more furious I became as I spent $45 for a cut I could have done. I called and spoke with the owner, I demanded my money back and she had the nerve to put me on the phone with the girl who gave her the horrible haircut!!! She told me she cut her ear hair of becuse it was "fly away", I believe that is my call to make when I specifically askd for LONG FACE. Needless to say I did not get my money back nor will I ever go back. I cannot believe that a groomer who has a free roaming Shih tzu with beautiful hair allow my dog to leave looking as she did with no refund. It has been about 2 months and she still looks bad. I am trying to let it grow so I can get a proper cut.

Good luck going to this place. I took my dog there to be groom and while the grooming by the foreign girl was excellent, the management was very bad!!!!!

Prices are comparable but the owners are very rude and on Saturdays children will bathe your dogs. You pay for a professional bath and young kids (as young as 12 ) bathe your dogs.

Be aware of this place!!!!!!!

A great place to take your dog. They were so helpful & friendly. Reasonable prices too.
