Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Marianna

Small rooms - but you knew that already from the name - "Microtel" Inn & Suites by Wyndham in Marianna, Florida. Very convenient location on Interstate 10 with plenty of parking.

The check in process was a bit challenged as I waited a full five minutes for a clerk at the front desk. Two staff persons on hand - you could hear them talking in a backroom while guests were waiting. No bell on the counter.

A quick overnight stay as I was attending an event in Marianna, I didn't have a problem with the size of the room. I was more into convenience and economy. Microtel provided both.

Staff were okay, but not overly friendly. My room was a non-smoking room but I could smell smoke from somewhere. Not quite sure where, but I could definitely smell it. Bed was comfortable and the shower water was hot. Toilet and tub were stained and personal amenities were sparse.

Speaking of hot - it was also hot in the hallway as if the air conditioning was turned off. Not much time spent in the hallway between my room and elevator, but hot nonetheless. Very uncomfortable.

Complementary coffee and breakfast, I checked out early the next morning and did not have an opportunity to try either. My review doesn't reflect this lost opportunity.

Good for value and convenience on that quick overnight trip. I wouldn't stay here with family or for an extended period of time. Microtel Inn & Suites in Marianna, Florida rates 2 stars.

Pass on this hotel ...there are other hotel choices that surely have to be cleaner than this one!
Old mattresses, coffee maker in room with no carafe, stains on floor and chair seat,. We changed rooms once due to a toilet that kept refilling.
We will not stay in a Microtel again!
