        Ray and the top mechanic Brian have left the building...I went just recently brought in both a 2013 Pathfinder with less than 18000 miles and Chevy Avalanche 2500 with less than 500 miles on the odometer since the last NY State check up at this Mavis, which I have been having my vehicles serviced for the past 7 years. For the Pathfinder, they would not pass the NY inspection unless I spent >$400 for front brake rotors and pads, because they were rusted...the Avalanche "requires" 4 new 33"inch tires @ >$275 per tire plus mount and balance due to mild dry rot...it has less than 500 miles since the last year inspection, with the same set of tires, from this Mavis. In distress I took the car and truck to another mechanic at D&C Auto Repair in Valhalla, 45 mins from me..."NOTING IS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLES, THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN PASSED!!!"
        He told that a lot of complaints have been with this particular Mavis, using false FAILURE inspections to up their sales. I WILL NEVER RETURN!!! We will using the Goodyear Tire store closer to home.

        These guys work on commission...brought car in for inspection and I ok'd two front tires that they said were bald. They replaced all 4! I said no, the rears are in great shape...they said ok we will put your rears back on...charged me for balance and alignment. Car was all over the road and they put my bald front tires on the back and never balanced the tires...they said weights must have fallen off..They stole my good rear tires and I had to bring the car back to even have it be road safe. Repeatedly try to scam for work that doesnt need to be done and I am done with them! Their hours are convenient but they are thieves! See Yelp reviews for more details.
