Home to more than 700 animals, a tropical rainforest Aviary, Conservation Carousel, Zoo Train, Children’s Zoo, Herpetarium, Discovery Center, Primate Building, and new Animal Health Center. The Henry Vilas Zoo is open year-round and supported by The Henry Vilas Zoological Society and Dane County. The Vilas Zoo is located near Lake Wingra and the UW Arboretum. Free admission and free parking.
