Reserved a utility trailer 2 days before needed. Ask Brian (the rental clerk) to please have the trailer checked for working lights, brakes & ramps. I was told all trailers are inspected. I made arrangements with a few different people to get the equipment moved. When I went to pickup the trailer (on a time schedule), both trailers had broken ramps & lights that couldn't be fixed due to no parts & the weekend. This was absolutely avoidable & shows if you don't buy from them, your FUCKED !!!!! Thanks Deviney !! I'll do all I can to steer buyers/renters from your business.

Overall

I bought a chainsaw from them and the saw needed some sort of adjustments to make it run properly. I took the saw back and left it there and was told it would be ready by the end of the week. I went back early the next week and they told me that they had to backorder some parts and that it would be ready Friday late in afternoon. I was out of town on Friday and went in to get it on Monday. Again, no one called to save me a trip out there and the saw was not ready. Three weeks later, I called and they told me that the saw was ready. I picked it up and brought it home and then grabbed it to take to the woods for the weekend to cut firewood.

When I tried to crank the saw, it still wouldn't start.

They seem to be nice people but don't seem to have a good handle on customer service. I'm not sure if whoever fixes these things knows what they are doing or if they

care about how much grief this can causes the customer. I asked for a refund but they said to bring it back and they will look at it again & not to worry because the saw is under warranty for two years and they can fix it and they don't give refunds, if there is repair the product.

I just took the saw to another dealer to have them do the work. Seems like Deviney could either find a mechanic that can do the proper repairs and maybe try a little harder to maintain a little higher standard for their customer service.

Overall
Poor customer service

My lawnmower's self-propel stopped working on me after a year with regular use and appropriate maintenance. The corporate office of the lawnmower's manufacturer told me that the repair was covered under their 2 year warranty, and they recommended Deviney Rental and Supply for their free customer repairs. I explained this to Deviney Rental on the day of drop off and left. Two weeks later, I received a phone call from Deviney stating my lawnmower was ready for pickup. On the day of pickup, I was told that the self-propel's transmission was the problem and that it was not covered under the manufacturer's warranty; they said that I had to pay $145. I was shocked and a bit upset that no one called me to tell me that the repair was not covered and no one asked whether or not I was okay to have Deviney repair the self-propel for $145 - I was okay with pushing my lawnmower. I asked if they spoke to the manufacturer, and the gentlemen at Deviney Rental said that typically the manufacturer did not cover transmissions; they did not bother to call the manufacturer. I left my lawnmower there and the following day I called the manufacturer, who stated the transmission should be covered. I later called Deviney Rental and they said they spoke to the manufacturer and that the transmission was covered.

So, I finally picked up my lawnmower a bit disgruntled and went home to mow my lawn after 3 weeks. On my first push, the front wheel popped off. Apparently, a screw was missing and not placed during the repair of my transmission. I went back to Deviney and they accepted the mower back and said they would call me when the wheel was fixed. After a week of no correspondence, I called Deviney Rental to inquire about my lawnmower. The gentlement there said that the lawnmower had been ready there for over a week. Again, no one bothered to call me to let me know.

Overall, my experience with Deviney Rental and Supply was poor, and I will not go back for any repairs or sales in the future.
