        The Animal Hospital of Lynchburg...The Family Practice for your Family Pet !!! We have been serving Lynchburg and the surrounding areas for well over 50 years as a veterinary hospital, ten years under Dr. Jean & Dr.Rick Krason. We are a full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care to dogs, cats and small mammals as well as reptiles and birds. We are an accredited member of The American Animal Hospital Association. We voluntarily submit to regular practice evaluations by AAHA inspection experts to ensure that we comply with the highest standards in veterinary medicine. Fewer than 10% of the veterinary hospitals in the nation are AAHA accredited. It means that you can be sure your pet is receiving the best possible care, using the latest procedures and technology. Ask us about our AAHA accreditation and how it affects your pet !!! We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and when necessary, the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local specialty practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and a comprehensive dental suite. In addition, we have climate controlled indoor boarding kennels with outdoor exercise areas, as well as separate facilities for cats and exotic pets. Our goal is to care for your pet from its infancy to its senior years by not only providing optimal veterinary care, but timely and useful information pertaining to all topics related to the health and enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy so that they can be your constant companions for years to come.

        excellent staff, really take care of my dog. let us know exactly what to expect. also use them for doggie day care when i need to go out of town. my dog loves going there as much as they love having her.

        With this Vet it's all about the money!!!!

        It's taken me 12 years to see how they operate but now I see it very clearly! I am sure there will be a rebuttal just like the one below! They are very friendly, show great care and spend time with the pet. I have no problem with their care and truly hope it's genuine. Over the last twelve years however I have seen customers shocked and enraged by their charges for service. To that I have been tolerant until now, sucked in by the nice smile. We received an estimate of $350 for an operation our 14 year old dog needed. When we got there on the day of the operation, I was handed an estimate of $504, which I signed after agreeing that they would remove approximately $130. Final bill, $646. My problem was not the operation or the care. My problem was that there was no discussion of possible higher costs before or after the operation, even when the doctor knew that he had taken longer. They just left me with a bill that was almost double and the receptionist to deal with it. Their surgical time may be worth over $600 per hour, but at that rate every minute should be discussed and considered before hand or at least after. Perhaps the owner doesn't want $600 per hour care for his 14 year old pet. They have been paid in full, but my advice to everyone is shop for another vet!!!
