General Info

An accomplished writer and director of film, television, and theater, Douglas Green founded Unleashed Pictures in 1997 with the production of the feature film "The Hiding Place, " starring Kim Hunter, Timothy Bottoms, and Kim Greist. Other filmed projects include the award-winning short "Unleashed, " the video "Anyway" for Fisher, other music videos for 1171 Production Group, and television ads for the American Humane Association. Green has directed countless productions in Los Angeles theater, including award-winning productions of "Six Degrees of Separation, " "The Desperate Hours, " and "Company" at Theater Palisades, "Babes and Brides" and "Purgative" at the Sanford Meisner Center, "The Butler Did It" at the Cabrillo Playhouse, and "Sex and Violence" at Los Angeles Theater Company. Produced plays he's written include "Too Many Flowers, " "Purgative, " and "Remember It Well." He also has written numerous episodes of A&E's "Biography" series.Having grown up in the heart of Ohio just north of Columbus, Jonathon Stewart began studying film theory and production at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. After four years of watching old movies and learning the intricacies of shooting on antiquated Arriflex cameras and organizing shoots with limited resources, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film. After serving as a production coordinator and post supervisor on Unleashed Pictures' "The Hiding Place" in 1997 Stewart went on to produce and manage over 10 projects with budgets ranging from $1, 000 to over $50, 000 the following year.In 2000 and 2001, Stewart went on to direct and produce various projects independently, including a 16mm mockumentary short film satirizing traffic in Los Angeles. "Traffic" went on to show at festivals and screenings throughout the country such as the San Antonio Underground Festival as well as the Los Angeles based Cinenites Competition sponsored by the Blue Studio in Hollywood. "Traffic" won the Cinenites audience and judges' awards for Best Short Film and for the following year was showcased on the studio's website.Stewart has gone on to direct and produce numerous commercials and promotional videos for the spec market, both on film and digital video, including two commercials for Sears. At the end of 2001, he directed and produced a short film entitled "Coconut Curried Chicken, " based loosely on a short story by Miami based columnist Dave Barry. In 2002, Stewart formed his own production company, Paper Moon Films, and is currently in pre-production on his feature directorial debut, "Guy In Row Five" ( www.whoisthesspyong.com ). Stewart is also an actor, having most recently appeared as "Eddie" in the Cameron Diaz film, "The Sweetest Thing, " in addition to guest starring roles on shows such as "Port Charles" and "Post Mortem."John Leuba began his film career after graduating from Emerson College in 1992, working as an assistant cameraman in Boston. In 1994 Leuba moved to Los Angeles to attend the American Film Institute for cinematography. After graduating, he began shooting feature films, music videos, and commercials. Among his many feature film credits are the films "The Hiding Place, " "Swimming, " and the "Autumn Heart, " all which have received critical acclaim, and have been shown at important film festivals around the world, including Sundance, Slamdance, Rotterdam Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, Outfest, and Methodfest. Leuba continues to live in Los Angeles with his wife and daughter.
